TOWN OF BERWYN HEIGHTS NOTICE
OF A PROPOSED
REAL PROPERTY TAX RATE INCREASE
For the taxable year beginning July 1, 2026, the Town Council of the Town of Berwyn Heights proposes to increase real property tax rates for commercial properties from $0.68 per $100 of assessment to $0.71 per $100 of assessment.
A public hearing on the proposed real property tax rate increase will be held at 6:00 PM on May 13, 2026 at 5700 Berwyn Rd, Berwyn Heights, MD 20740.
The hearing is open to the public, and public testimony is encouraged.

About Town Council Meetings – Open to All

The Town Council normally holds a formal Town meeting on the second Wednesday of every month, as well as two worksessions on the first and third Monday of the month. During the budget season, additional worksessions are added to discuss only budget-related issues. All meetings are scheduled to begin at 7PM, unless otherwise noted. Council meetings take place in the Council chamber of the Town Hall located at 5700 Berwyn Road, and are broadcast on local cable TV channels Fios 12 and Comcast 71.
