Charter Amendment to Postpone Election Adopted - WED April 15, 2020

At the April 15 Town meeting, the Council adopted Charter Resolution CR 2020-01, effective immediately, to add Section 510 to Chapter V - Nomination, Registration, Election. This enables the Council to postpone the date and process of a municipal election during a State of Emergency such as the COVID-19 pandemic. The Council also adopted Resolution 5-2020 to reschedule the May 5 Town Council election to June 9. Please contact Town Manager for questions or comments at mbroadbent@berwynheightsmd.gov.
