Prince George's County Redistricting  

On Tuesday, November 16, 2021, beginning at 3:00 p.m., the Prince George’s County Council will conduct a virtual public hearing to consider CR-123-2021, the Council’s Redistricting Plan, and the Redistricting Commission’s Proposed Plan. At the conclusion of the hearing, the Council will vote on the Plan proposed in CR-123-2021.  If the Council does not enact CR-123-2021, the Commission's Plan becomes law on the last day of November.  For more information, please visit the Council’s Redistricting Webpage, providing residents and interested stakeholders with an overview of the County’s redistricting process; timeline of events; Frequently Asked Questions, and more.

County Department of Parks and Recreation Virtual Town Hall 

Please join The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, Department of Parks and Recreation on Tuesday, November 16 for a virtual townhall where you will learn how to you can weigh in on the future of parks and recreation in the county. There will be two sessions: Session One is at 11 am and Session Two is at 6:30 pm.  

Every five years, the Department updates its Land Preservation Parks and Recreation Plan (LPPRP) to identify current recreational trends, address service provision challenges, and update goals and priorities to improve countywide recreation opportunities. Your involvement will help the Department better serve the community and create a quality recreational experience for you and your family for generations to come!

Prince George's County Cultural Arts Study  

Prince George’s County will host a virtual community meeting to present the draft Prince George’s County Cultural Arts Study to County residents and stakeholders. The meeting will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2021, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. This virtual meeting will seek to solicit feedback regarding the final draft report and to discuss the Cultural Arts Study’s implications for the County.

Prince George's County Climate Action Plan

The County recently released the Climate Action Plan (mypgc.us/climateactionplan -  prepared by the Climate Action Commission- a group of residents, experts and gov. reps from across the county) for public comment. The comment period runs from November 1- December 1.
