BHEAC S.T.E.A.M. Program Summer Scholarship

The Berwyn Heights Education Advisory Council (BH EAC) is announcing a new program to support students
as they pursue opportunities for summer learning and enrichment. This will be done in conjunction with the Berwyn Heights Community Center (BHCC). The BHEAC will award a full scholarship to three students with economic needs who would like to participate in the Berwyn Heights Community Center’s Summer S.T.E.A.M (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) program. Details regarding this program are below.

What: BHCC in-person summer camp program for kids ages 6-12.
When: June 28th through July 30th (5 weeks). Monday thru Friday from 9am to 3pm.

Description:
Get In The Zone…S.T.E.A.M! Enrich your child's life with a variety of S.T.E.A.M. activities designed to stimulate and educate.
Participants will explore their intellectual and creative sides while building simple machines, exploring the science of food, making instruments, and much more! A list will be provided for needed camp supplies. For select activities, a supply kit will be available for pick up. Please reach out to BHCC at

A statement about why they would like to participate in the Berwyn Heights Community Center’s
S.T.E.A.M program.
Proof of eligibility for Free and Reduced-Priced Meals. Another statement of financial need may be accepted
with justification.

Applications are due by June 7th!!
Participants will be asked to provide a brief description of their experience with the BHCC S.T.E.A.M camp
to be shared anonymously with the Council in a public meeting.
