02/29/2016 at 11:40 am, Pfc. Ignowski along with the Chief of Police responded to the 5900 block of Berwyn Road for a report of an unattended death. Investigation revealed that Mr. Alberto Rey succumbed to natural causes. He was 69 y/o.

02/29/2016 at 3:35 pm, Cpl. Roberson responded to the McDonald on Greenbelt Road for a report of a wallet being stolen. 

03/01/2016 at 9:42 am, Pfc. Krouse along with Det. Unger responded to the 8500 block of 58th., Avenue for a check on a welfare of a resident. 

03/01/2016 at 10:40 am, Pfc. Krouse impounded a 2014 Ford along with a 2012 Hyundai from the 5500 block of Greenbelt Road. Both vehicles were involved in an accident.

03/03/2016 at 10:45 am, Pfc. Krouse responded to the Town Hall for a report of a telephone misuse complaint.

02/20/2016 at 7:50 pm, Pfc. Hollowell impounded a 2006 Toyota SUV from the 6000 block of Greenbelt Road. The driver was driving without a license.

02/21/2016 at 6:29 pm, Pfc. Hollowell arrested Ms. Sarah Winiski, a 26 y/o, w/f, of Berwyn Heights from the 58th Avenue near Quebec Street. Winiski had an outstanding warrant for DUI.

01/27/2016 at 5:03 pm, Pfc. Hollowell responded to the 5800 block of Ruatan Street for a report of a missing 14 y/o, female. On scene, the mother of the missing juvenile told the police that she let her 14 y/o daughter go to a slumber party located in Greenbelt. However, she could not provide the address or telephone number of the resident to the slumber party. The missing juvenile is described as a 14 y/o, w/f, with the name of Desere Mae Wolfinger. PG County telecommunication was notified and entered into the missing person file.

01/08/2016 at 4:00 pm, Cpl. Roberson submitted a police incident report in regards to property damage to the police station on 12/30/2015. Police office sustained significant water damage from a leak above the ceiling.

01/09/2016 at 10:00 pm, Pfc. Duck recovered a stolen 2009 Scion from the 8500 block of 60th., Avenue. The owner of the vehicle reported that her car was stolen out from Montgomery County unbeknownst to her that her husband had the vehicle.

01/01/2016 at 5:00 pm, Cpl. Roberson impounded a 2003 Toyota Truck from the location of Seminole Street at Edmonston Road. The driver was suspended.

01/02/2016 at 11:34 am, Pfc. Ignowski responded to the 5800 block of Pontiac Street for a report of a domestic dispute and a protect order was served.

01/03/2016 at 10:05 pm, Cpl. Roberson and Pvt. Ramirez responded to the 8700 block of 60th., Avenue for a report of a robbery. Investigation revealed that three Latino males contacted a "Transportes El Barrio Fino", for a ride at Aldelphi and Riggs Road. The suspects asked to be taken to an address in Berwyn Heights which was a dead end at the 8700 block of 60th., Avenue. At which time one of the suspect displayed a handgun and demanded money from the driver of the aforementioned cab before fleeing from the cab. Suspects fled away with approximately $100.00 in cash.

01/04/2016 at 9:01 pm, Pvt. Ramirez arrested Mr. Jeffry Zinga Jimenez, a 31 y/o, H/M, of Berwyn Heights, MD for an outstanding warrant. He was arrested in the area of Kenilworth Avenue near Pontiac Street.

01/05/2016 at 5:20 pm, Pfc. Hollowell responded to the McDonald on Greenbelt for a report of a damage property.

01/05/2016 at 5:55 pm, Sgt. Moroney responded to the 8700 block of 62nd., Avenue for a report of a stolen laptop from his vehicle. The theft allegedly occurred on 12/21/2015.

12/27/2015 at 1:55 pm, Pfc. Ignowski responded to the 8600 block of 60th., Avenue for a report of a burglary. Victim reported that he found his house broken in-to between Wednesday 12/23/2015 and 12/27/2015. TV and musical instruments were taken.

12/27/2015 at 11:00 pm, Cpl. Roberson responded to the 8700 block of 63rd., Avenue for a report of a theft from a 2008 Toyota. Victim's wallet was taken containing cash and credit cards. 

12/28/2015 at 11:55 am, Pfc. Ignowski responded to the 8700 block of Edmonston Road for a report of a found bicycle. The bike is describe as a 'Mongoose XR-75' 21 speed.

12/29/2015 at 7:38 pm, Pfc. Krouse responded to the Checkers on Greenbelt Road for a report of a vandalism. Manager of the restaurant reported that a customer was unhappy with his order and punched the drive-tru window before fleeing.

12/31/2015 at 9:00 pm, Cpl. Roberson impounded a 2010 Nissan from the East Bound of Greenbelt Road. The vehicle was displaying expired tag of 09/2015. The driver was also suspended.

12/22/2015 at 4:08 pm, Pvt. Ramirez responded to the 8700 block of 63rd. Avenue for a report of theft from a 2015 Toyota. Victim stated that someone entered her unlocked vehicle and stole a prescription pill.

12/24/2015 at 1:58 pm, Pvt. Ramirez responded to the 7600 block of Charlton Avenue for a warrant service. Joshua Neel, a 23 y/o,w/m was served with an outstanding warrant from the BHPD Investigative Services, for theft and credit card fraud. He was transported to DOC without incident.

12/25/2015 at 7:10 am, Pfc. Ignowski responded to the 5800 block of Greenbelt Road for a report of a found purse. Investigation revealed that the owner of the purse lives in Montgomery County.

Police Activity Report for November 20 - 27, 2015
11/22/2015 at 9:00 am, Pfc. Ignowski impounded 2007 Dodge Truck from the 6200 block of Greenbelt Road. The driver was driving without a license.

11/25/2015 at 6:40 am, BHPD Investigative Services along with the patrol division served three arrest warrants in Berwyn Heights and Montgomery County charging, NEEL, Joshua a 23, y/o, w/m of Berwyn Heights. THOMPSON, Brittany a 18 y/o, w/f of Huntington, MD and WALKER, Edward a 23 y/o, w/m of Burtonsville, MD. One suspect is still outstanding. All were charged with nine counts of malicious destruction and one count of hate crime.

11/25/2015 at 11:15 am, a 19 y/o, w/m came into the BHPD and reported that he was sexually assaulted approximately three years ago by a known person to him. Case is under investigation by Berwyn Heights Investigative Services and County Sexual assault Unit.

11/26/2015 at 8:45 am, Pvt. Hollowell responded to the 5900 block of Berwyn Road for a report of an unknown person created a fictitious routing and stole a social security check from a 55 y/o female.

11/26/2015 at 7:37 am, Pvt. Hollowell responded to the 5800 block of Bucknell Terrace for a report of domestic between a male and a female. At one point the male half hit the victim's car with a long object before fleeing the area.

11/26/2015 at 5:13 pm, Pvt. Ramirez conducted a traffic stop in the area of Ruatan Street at 56th., Avenue. Pvt. Ramirez detected a strong smell of marijuana coming out from the vehicle and investigation later revealed that the driver had on his person a large quantity of marijuana along with drug packaging materials. Fredis Pineda, a 19 y/o, Latino male of Berwyn Heights was arrested on scene.

11/14/2015 T 5:35 PM, Cpl. Roberson responded to the Domino's Pizza on 62nd., Avenue for an assault complaint. Investigation revealed that an employee of the restaurant assaulted his manager. Warrant is pending.

11/14/2015 at 7:45 pm, Cpl. Roberson responded to the 6300 block of Osage Street for a fraud complaint. Unknown person attempted to obtain a prescription using the victim's name.

11/15/2015 at 12:40 pm, Pfc. Ignowski responded to the 8300 block of 58th., Avenue for a report of theft from a vehicle. $9.50 was taken from inside the vehicle.

11/16/2015 at 11:55 am, Pfc. Ignowski responded to the 5800 block of Bucknell Terr., for a report of a vandalism to a 1993 Cadillac. Unknown person slashed three tires on the vehicle.

11/18/2015 at 10:10 am, Pfc. Ramirez submitted a police report after she was advised that the Town of Berwyn Heights received toll violations from the MTA. Unknown person, or employee of the Town illegally obtained a vehicle without permission. Case is under investigation.

11/18/2015 at 8:15 pm, Pfc. Krouse interviewed two suspicious subjects in the area of Seminole Street near Tecumseh. They were checked and sent on way.

Police Activity Report for November 6 - 13, 2015
11/06/2015 at 8:00 am, Pfc. Ignowski responded to the 6200 block of Seminole Place, 6000 block of Berwyn Road, 8800 block of 62nd., Avenue, and 5600 block of Goucher Drive for reports of vandalism. Investigation revealed that the vandalisms occurred sometime during Halloween night. Unknown person(s) sprayed paint vehicles with green paint. Investigation is being conducted by BHPD Investigative Services and PG County Police.

11/06/2015 at 11:45 pm, Cpl. Roberson responded to the 5900 block of Osage Street for a warrant service. Jarvis Snead, a 25 y/o, b/m was apprehended for outstanding warrants from Howard County and Frederick County, MD. 

11/07/2015 at 7:30 am, Pfc. Ignowski served a peace order to a defendant in the 5600 block of Berwyn Road.

11/08/2015 at 7:45 am, Pfc. Ignowski impounded a 1992 Honda from the 6200 block of Seminole Street. The driver was driving with suspended license.

11/08/2015 at 11:00 am, Pfc. Ignowski responded to the 8900 block of 58th., Avenue for a report of a burglary. Unknown person entered through the basement door and removed a drill.

11/09/2015 at 11:42 pm, Sgt. Moroney responded to the 8800 block of 63rd., Avenue for a report of an assault. On scene, Sgt. Moroney identified the aggressor and arrested Katherine Hunter, a 32 y/o, w/f. She was charged with 2nd. degree assault.

11/10/2015 at 7:40 am, Pvt. Ramirez responded to the 5800 block of Ruatan Street for a report of theft of $5.00 from a 2009 Toyota.

11/11/2015 at 7:57 am, Pvt. Ramirez impounded a Ford Winstar Van from the 6200 block of Tecumseh Street. The vehicle was parked more than 72 hours and appears to be abandoned.

11/02/2015 at 4:10 pm, Cpl. Roberson impounded a 2002 Volvo from the 5900 block of Seminole Street. The vehicle was left abandoned.

11/03/2015 at 2:44 pm, Pvt. Ramirez, Pfc. Krouse and Pvt. Hollowell responded to the 8400 block of 57th., Avenue for a report of an assault in progress. Investigation revealed that a 15 y/o, w/f was assaulting her 63 y/o grandmother. The juvenile was transported to the hospital for EPS and charged with 2 degree assault.

11/04/2015 at 4:35 pm, Pvt. Ramirez responded to the area of Pontiac Street at Edmonston Road for a report of an accident. On scene, investigation revealed that one of the driver of driving while under the influence of alcohol. William Davis, a 83 y/o, b/m of Clinton, MD was arrested and charged with DUI.

10/15/2015 at 3:00 am, Pvt. Hollowell impounded a 2006 Lincoln from the 8400 block of Cunningham Drive. The vehicle was left abandoned in the roadway.

10/01/2015 at 8:00 am, Pvt. Hollowell along with Det. Unger, the Chief of Police and several County officers responded to the 'X-Tra' Fuel Mart on Greenbelt Road for a report of a robbery in progress. On scene, it was determine that the employee was having dispute with his customer and escalated the incident by calling 911 to gain police response. Case is being investigated by CID for misuse of police 911 services.

Investigation by the officers revealed that there were strong odor of marijuana permeating from the vehicle. The driver, a 30 y/o, b/m was charged and given a Maryland Uniform Civil Citation charging him with possession.

03/04/2015 at 7:48 pm, Pvt. Hollowell investigated a hit and run that was reported from the location of the 6300 block of Greenbelt Road. Pvt. Hollowell identified the suspect and initiated an arrest at the location of Pontiac Street and Kenilworth Avenue. Jose Isaias Marquina, a 46 y/o, white Latino male was arrested and charged with DUI and leaving the scene of an accident. In addition, Mr. Marquina's 2005 GMC truck was also impounded.

03/05/2015 at 1:40 pm, Pfc. Ignowski, Pvt. Ramirez and Chief Antolik responded to the 5500 block of Greenbelt Road for a report of a citizen robbery. Investigation revealed that while a 37 y/o, white Latino female was using an ATM at the Bank of America located near the Beltway Plaza Mall, a white male attacked her and tried to snatch money from her hands. He later fled down Greenbelt Road towards the SunTrust Bank. While Pvt. Ramirez assisted with speaking Spanish, the suspect was detained by a Prince George's County Officer who was at the 7-11 near Greenbelt Road and University Blvd. The suspect was positively identified by the victim and he was identified as a 34 y/o, white male Mr. Benjamin Walter Roston of Shady Side, MD. Greenbelt City Police was notified and Mr. Roston was charged with attempted robbery and assault by the Greenbelt City PD.

02/04/2015 at 11:25 am Pfc. Krouse and Det. Unger assisted the BHVFD and forced entry into a house on the 5900 block of Quebec Street. A 68 y/o, w/f was trapped inside her home filled with trash and rubbish. She was transported to the hospital and PG County adult protective service was notified.

01/29/2015 at 9:00 am, a house fire occurred in the 6200 block of Seminole Place in Berwyn Heights, MD. Two people were rescued from the burning domicile by a Town employee and residents. A 93 y/o male and his 60 y/o daughter were transported to the hospital. Red Cross has been notified and in route to the scene.

Police Activity Report for December 19 - 26, 2014
12/20/ 2014 at 1:30 pm, officers responded to the Xtra Fuels Gas Station located at 5919 Greenbelt Road, Berwyn Heights, Maryland for a report of an attempt commercial armed robbery. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who advised that he was behind the counter when the suspects entered the store with t-shirts covering their face. Suspect 1 began brandishing a silver semi-automatic handgun and the victim, knowing he was about to be robbed, fled out the rear of the store to a neighboring gas station. The two suspects went behind the counter and attempted to open the cash register but were unsuccessful. The suspects then fled out of the store on foot, got into a gray newer model minivan, a fled the scene down 60th Avenue.

He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, red bandana mask, blue and gray shirt with blue jeans.

09/01/2014 at 9:57 am, Sgt. Moroney responded to the 8400 block of 57th., Avenue for a domestic assault complaint. Investigation revealed that Mr. Manuel Da Jesus Climarita, a 33 y/o, Latino male was intoxicated and assaulted his 29 y/o wife by punching her in the eye after an argument. Mr. Climarita was arrested on scene for domestic assault and taken to the Department of Correction. Mrs. Climarita suffered minor and refuses medical assistance.

09/05/2014 at 12:50 pm, Pfc. Ignowski and the Chief of Police responded to the 5800 block of Ruatan Street for an animal complaint report. Investigation revealed that a small dog was running at large and chasing the complainant's pet. The dog was located and the owner was advised.

09/05/2014 at 1:46 pm, Pfc. Ignowski responded to the SECU bank for a disorderly conduct complaint. Suspect, a 57 y/o, b/m was upset and yelling profanity prior to leaving the bank.

09/06/2014 at 12:20 pm, Pfc. Ignowski responded to the Berwyn Heights Presbyterian Church for a report of a theft of a cell phone. Victim, a 29 y/o, b/f reported that her co-worker took her cell phone without permission. Suspect, a 33 y/o, b/f, refuses to returned the cell phone after she was contacted by the police. Case was forwarded to Investigative Services and warrant is pending.

09/09/2014 at 8:07 am, Pfc. Ignowski located a silver Mercedes station wagon that was wanted in connection with an assault that occurred on 09/04/2014. The driver, a 37 y/o, b/m was identified and case was forwarded to the Investigative Services.

09/10/2014 at 2:40 pm, Pfc. Ignowski was contacted by a 52 y/o, w/m who claims that he received a bad check from his tenant who resides at his rental home located in the 6300 block of Tecumseh Pl. At approximately 3:43 pm, the victim called and advises that his tenant paid cash. This case is closed exceptionally.

Victim, a 55 y/o, w/m, stated that he was attacked by an angry b/m after a verbal altercation stemming from a road rage. The suspect is described as a black male in his 20's driving a silver Mercedes station wagon with DC tag of EK5814. The suspect got out of his car and pushed the victim down.

08/25/2014 at 11:30 pm, Sgt. Moroney and Cpl. Roberson responded to the 8900 block of 59th. Avenue for suspicious subjects. A resident reported that they observed two black males wearing ski masks in front of their house standing behind a car. When officers arrived, both subjects began to flee. One of the subject was caught and recovered from the scene was a backpack containing two ski masks, and a pair of rubber gloves. The subject was identified and later sent on way. Case forwarded to CID as well as neighboring jurisdictions. 

08/26/2014 at 3:48 pm, Pfc. Ignowski responded to the Town Hall for an injured person report. A 56 y/o, female fell on to the curb while conducting personal business at Town Hall. She sustained minor injury. 

08/28/2014 at 5:40 am, Pfc. Duck responded to the 7600 block of Charlton Avenue for a report of a vandalism. Unknown person(s) spray painted a police car belonging to the City of New Carrollton Police.

Investigation revealed that a 37 y/o, b/m resident of Columbia, MD reported his vehicle stolen. It was discovered later that the victim's father a, 60 y/o male had the vehicle without permission.

07/17/2014 at 9:45 am, Pfc. Ignowski responded to the 5900 block of Berwyn Road for a report of a burglary that occurred at 5:30 am. Investigation revealed that the victim's husband came in the house legally and moved one end of a sofa away from the west wall of the domicile. The two are going through a divorce and victim feels that her husband moved the sofa leaving a clue to her so that she knew he was in the house. Furthermore, victim's husband admit to being in the house at that particular time to visit his son.

07/04/2014 at 2:10 pm, Pfc. Ignowski impounded a 1997 Isuzu from the 6200 block of Greenbelt Road. The driver, Mr. Reginal Juan Baker, a 54 y/o, b/m, resident of Hyattsville was arrested for driving without a license. In addition, he was also wanted fugitive from the PG County Sheriff. 

07/07/2014 at 12:24 am, Sgt. Moroney responded to the 8400 block of 57t. Avenue for an attempted stolen vehicle. Three black males were seen trying to remove without permission a 1992 Chrysler. They fled the scene prior to the arrival of the BHPD. 

07/08/2014 at 3:45 pm, Det. Unger submitted a lost property report at the PD HQ. A 30 y/o, w/m, resident of Missouri stated that he lost his ID from his State. 

07/09/2014 at 3:45 pm, Pfc. Ignowski impounded a 1994 Acura from the location of the 6200 block of Greenbelt Rd. The vehicle was left abandoned.

07/10//2010 at 10:24 pm, Pfc. Duck responded to the 8600 block of 60th. Avenue for a missing person report. Faustino Menjivar JR.,17 y/o, l/m was reported missing to the police after he walked out through the front door of his house. The 17 y/o boy has runaway from home before. Case will be forwarded to CID. 

07/10/2014 at 1:15 pm, Pfc. Ignowski responded to the 6201 Greenbelt Road for a report of a distressed person. On scene he met with a 24 y/o, b/m, resident of Silver Spring, who was threatening to kill people and then himself. He was arrested and taken to the hospital for an evaluation.

07/11/2014 at 6:30 am, Pfc. Ignowski responded to the 5815 Greenbelt Road 7-11 parking lot for a report of a theft from a vehicle. Suspect(s) broke out the passenger side window of a vehicle and removed a handbag before fleeing.

07/11/2014 at 6:35 am, Pfc. Krouse responded to the 5901 Greenbelt Road 'X-Tra' gas station for a report of a theft from a vehicle. Suspect(s) removed a lady's purse from a vehicle while she was pumping gas before fleeing. Suspects were seen driving away in a dark colored lexus.

Police Activity Report for June 20 - 27, 2014
06/24/2014 at 8:58 am Pfc. Ignowski and the Chief of Police responded to a call for service of an injured child. Upon arrival, we found a Town resident along with a DPW employee attending to and comforting the injured 11 Y/O boy. Investigation later revealed that the young boy suffers from a mild epilepsy seizure, passed-out and fell on his face while walking his small dog. His head hit the pavement and he was bleeding from the mouth. While waiting for the ambulance, he was cared for by the aforementioned. This incident could have taken a turn for worse if it wasn't for the fast actions of a Town resident and a caring employee.

Police Activity Report for June 13 - 20, 2014
06/14/2014 at 9:12, Pfc. Ignowski responded to the Metropolitan Family Planning Clinic located at 5919 Greenbelt Road for a report of a disorderly person. Once on scene, officer met with a W/M, who refuses to comply with all lawful order given to him and eventually assaulted the officer by turning his body and moving back towards the officer, causing him to fall on top of the officer. After a short struggle, Robert Weiler, a 34 Y/O, W/M, resident of Forestville, MD was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and second degree assault.

06/18/2014 at 7:17 am, Det. Unger responded to the 5600 block of Osage Street for an open kitchen window of a residence. Victim believed that someone attempted to gain entry and burglarize her house. Nothing was missing.

06/19/2014 at 1:09 pm, Pfc. Thompson impounded a 1998 Honda from the location of 5500 block of Greenbelt Road. Driver was driving without a license.

06/19/2014 at 5:29 pm, Pfc. Thompson responded to the 5800 block of Bucknell Terrace for a report of a fight. Investigation revealed that victim, a facilitator of the ARC home was assaulted by her patient.

05/24/2014 at 8:09 am, Pfc. Krouse responded to the 8900 block of 60th. Avenue for an unattended death investigation. 41 y/o, w/m, was found dead at the bottom of the steps where he resides. Det. Unger and PG County Homicide were notified and investigation continues. 

05/27/2014 at 7:04 am, Pfc. Krouse responded to the conner of Seminole Street and Edmonston Road for a report of an armed robbery. 36 y/o, Latino male advised officer that he was robbed at knife point of his wallet. Victim further stated that he was robbed by two black males and a black female at approximately 5:30 am. The victim did not report at the time of the incident and drove home. He later decided to call 911 an hour later from his residence in Greenbelt. 

05/29/2014 at 12:06 pm, Pfc. Krouse and Det. Unger arrested Mr. Nathan Marlo Knight II from the location of 8500 block of 58th. Avenue. Mr. Knight II was a fugitive and wanted through Prince George's County Sheriff Department.

05/04/2014 at 12:15 pm, Pfc. Roberson responded to the 6000 block of Greenbelt Road for a report of a vandalism to a 2001 Honda. Victim stated that she had an argument with a B/M and he later smashed the driver's side rear passenger's window.

04/28/2014 at 7:10 am, Pfc. Krouse impounded a 2010 Honda from the location of 8900 block of 57th. Avenue. The vehicle was parked in front of a private driveway.

04/29/2014 at 9:50 am, Pfc. Ignowski responded to the 5900 block of Berwyn Road on a domestic standby service.

04/29/2014 at 3:55 pm, Pfc. Ignowski responded to the 5600 block of Osage Street for a report of a stolen bicycle.

04/29/2014 at 5:00 pm, Det. Unger and Pfc. Thompson responded to the 7-11 located in the 5800 block of Greenbelt Road for a report of a robbery. Two males robbed a 44 Y/O, L/M at gunpoint then forced the victim inside his own car and drove away. A short while later the victim was able to notify 911 and gave his location along with the description of the suspects. BHPD officers along with County officers canvassed the area with K-9 and the two suspects were later found hiding in a garage located in the 8900 block of 56th. Avenue. Both suspects were positively identified and the weapon was recovered. The two are being charged with armed robbery, kidnapping, false imprisonment, first-degree assault, second degree assault and auto theft. Although the suspects are juveniles, they were charged as an adult.

04/30/2014 at 9:55 am, Pfc. Thompson responded to the 5600 block of Berwyn Road for a report of a theft from a 2005 Chevrolet. A GPS was taken from the vehicle.

04/30/2014 at 12:50 pm, Pfc. Thompson responded to the 6200 block of Greenbelt Road for a report of a theft from a 2004 Chevrolet. A GPS and a briefcase was taken.

04/30/2014 at 9:30 am, Pfc. Ignowski responded to the 8700 block of 63rd. Avenue for a burglary in progress call. Suspect entered an unsecured backdoor of the house and was interrupted by the arrival of the BHPD. The suspect saw the BHPD officer and fled. After a short foot pursuit, he was apprehended a couple of blocks away. Aquille Abdur SUDAH, a 19 Y/O, B/M a resident of Washington DC was identified and charged with first degree burglary and theft.

On 04/22/2014 at 10:50 am, Pfc. Ignowski received a complaint from a caretaker of the National Children Center stating that one of her client had a large bruise to her right inner arm. The incident in the area of the 8600 block of 57th Avenue.

On 04/23/2014 at 9:00 pm, Pfc. Thompson responded to the 8800 block of 63rd. Avenue for a report of a burglary. Suspect entered through the small 'doggie door'. Once inside, items such as I-pad, MacBook, PC tablet and a ring were taken.

On 04/24/2014 at 12:23 am Pfc. Thompson arrested a suspicious male subject in the 5800 block of Greenbelt Road. Mr. Andree Veney Jr., a 35 y/o, b/m of District Heights had an open warrant through PG. County.

On 04/11/2014 at 7:55 am, Pfc. Ignowski responded to the 5700 block of Berwyn Road for a report of a tampering of a 1996 Volvo. No items were taken.

On 04/11/2014 at 10:58 am, Pfc. Ignowski, Pfc. Krouse, Det. Unger and the Chief of Police responded to the 5700 block of Navada Street for a report of an unresponsive 72 y/o, w/f. Investigation revealed that the aforementioned person suffered medical emergency and died at home.

On 04/11/2014 at 5:47 am, Pvt. Duck responded to the 5700 block of Osage Street for a report of a theft from a 2005 Dodge. Unknown person broke out the window and removed an apple computer tablet.

04/15/2014 at 12:35 pm, Pfc. Ignowski responded to the 6200 block of Ruatan Street for a report of a burglary. On scene Pfc. Ignowski met with a 27 y/o, w/m who stated that someone entered the house through the window and removed his wallet, pearl necklace and ear rings prior to fleeing the scene. The scene of the crime was processed for latents.

On 04/04/2014 at 11:20 am, Pfc. Ignowski, Pfc. Krouse and Det. Unger responded to the State Employee Credit Union located at 6011 Greenbelt Road for a report of a suspect uttering a forged check. The suspect fled the scene prior to the arrival of officers. Investigation continues.

On 04/04/2014 at 10:30 pm, Pfc. Roberson impounded a 2010 Nissan Sentra from the location of Greenbelt Road at Cunningham Drive. The driver, a 22 y/o, L/M of Laurel, MD was driving on suspended license.

On 04/06/2014 at 3:00 am, Pvt. Duck responded to the 8800 block of 60th. Avenue for a damaged property report of a hit and run. Suspect was later identified and charges are pending. 

On 04/06/2014 at 7:14 am, Pfc. Krouse impounded a 2002 Scion from the location of Edmonston Road at Tecumseh Drive. The driver, a 22 y/o, L/M resident of Upper Marlboro was driving on suspended license. 

On 04/09/2014 at 7:19 pm, a 40 y/o, w/f, of College Park, MD came into the BHPD with her small child and stated that she was approached by a black male in his 20's, who exposed his genital while she was at the Indian creak trail. The suspect was identified and the case was forwarded over to the Maryland Park Police.

On 03/28/2014 at 8:30 pm, Pfc. Roberson responded to the 5800 block of Vernon Terrace for a property damage report. A dent was found on the rear fender of a 1998 Ford Escort. 

On 03/29/2014 at 10:00 pm, Pfc. Roberson responded to the 8900 block of 63rd. Avenue for a fraud report. Victim stated that her bank contacted her and inform her that her credit card was compromised and used at a Safeway store in Greenbelt.

On 03/31/2014 at 9:40 am, Pfc. Krouse responded to the 8900 block of 57th. Avenue for a report of a vandalism to a 2010 Hyundai SUV. Victim stated that someone had cut his tires.

On 04/02/2013 at 1:25 pm, a 56 y/o female contacted the Prince George's County Police Criminal Investigation Division and reported that she was sexually assaulted on 03/28/2014 in the 5800 block of Bucknell Terrace by an acquaintance. Case is being investigated by the PG County CID as well as BH Investigative Services.

On 04/03/2014 at 11:45 am, Pfc. Ignowski impounded a 2008 Toyota from the 6200 block of Greenbelt Road as a resulted of a 74 y/o senior with a medical emergency.

Police Activity Report for February 28 - March 7, 2014
03/01/2014 at 11:25 am, a 36 y/o, L/m came into the BHPD and reported to Pfc. Ignowski that someone put a burnt cigarette and matches on his driver's seat of a 2005 Ford truck. This incident alleged to occur in the 8700 block of 57th. Avenue. Investigation by Pfc. Ignowski revealed that there were no burnt cigarette or matches were lighted when deposited onto the seat.

03/05/2014 at 8:28 am, Pfc. ignowski responded to the Shell Gas Station located at the 6001 Greenbelt Road for a report of a theft of a purse from a vehicle. 

03/06/2014 at 6:30 am, Det. Unger, members of the BHPD, US Secret Service Task Force along with the PG County Detectives conducted a Search Warrant at 2300 block of Woodberry Street. Hyattsville, MD on a credit card fraud case originated in Berwyn Heights. A Greenbelt Target employee, Ms. Dyan Din-Gabisi, a 23, y/o, b/f, was charged with possession of a payment device number, theft, and credit fraud.

03/06/2014 at 10:30 am, Pfc. Krouse investigated a suspicious subject sitting in a 2001 Nissan Van in the parking lot of Beltway Plaza Mall in front of Target Store. The van is part of a search warrant and was involved in an on going fraud investigation. A 22 y/o, b/m, resident of Oxon Hill, MD was identified and sent on way. The van was searched and 6 grams of marijuana was recovered belonging to Ms. Dyan Din-Gabisi. Charges are pending his involvement in the fraud case.

02/28/2014 at 12:37 pm, Pfc. Krouse responded to the 7600 block of Charlton Avenue for a vandalism report. Jessie Bishop, a 26 y/o, w/m resident of Silver Spring punched out windows to the front door and was subsequently arrested by Pfc. Krouse.

Police Activity Report for February 7 - 14, 2014
02/10/2014 at 11:00 am, Pfc. Ignowski found a canvas bag containing cable installation materials in the 7600 block of Villanova Road. The bag was recovered and taken to BHPD.

02/12/2014 at 9:27 am, Pfc. Krouse responded to the 8900 block of 57th. Avenue for a report of a vandalism to a 2000 Toyota. Unknown person slashed tires to the vehicle.

02/12/2014 at 10:07 am, Pfc. Krouse responded to the 6200 block of Quebec Street for a report of a domestic dispute. On scene, Pfc. Krouse met with the complainant who stated that his female friend was acting crazy in the house. Preliminary investigation also revealed that the 44 y/o, w/f, is a wanted fugitive from Prince George's County. She was taken into custody and transported to DOC. During the transport, the arrestee became agitated and starts to kick the inside of the police cruiser. The transport became a priority transport without further incident after arrival to the correctional facility.

Police Activity Report for January 31 - February 7, 2014
01/31/2014 at 1:05 pm, Pfc. Ignowski responded to the Staples office supply store located at 8904 62nd. Avenue for an assault complaint. Victim, a 31 y/o, w/f claims that her mother, a 47 y/o, w/f, threw a cup of coffee at her after a verbal altercation.

01/31/2014 at 2:55 pm, Pfc. Thompson and Pfc. Ignowski responded to the 8400 block of 58th. Avenue for an unresponsive 80 y/o, w/m. 

01/31/2014 at 4:15 pm, Pfc. Thompson responded to the 6300 block of Pontiac Street for a report of theft from vehicles that occurred a week prior. 

01/31/2014 at 5:00 pm, Pfc. Thompson responded to the Greenbelt Road Shell for a report of theft of cigarettes. A white male with red hair came inside the store and removed 7 packs of cigarettes without paying for them. The case was forwarded to Det. Unger, who later identified the suspect. Arrest warrant is pending.

02/01/2014 at 6:45 pm, Pfc. Krouse responded to the 6215 Greenbelt Road parking lot for a report of a damaged 2000 Honda. 

02/04/2014 at 4:00 pm, Pfc. Thompson, Pfc. Krouse and Detective Unger responded to the 8700 block of 58th. Avenue for a death investigation. A 58 y/o, w/m was found unresponsive. 

02/05/2014 at 11:20 am, a 58 y/o, a/f, resident of Berwyn Heights came to the BHPD and stated that she received a call from a person impersonating to be an IRS agent. The suspect attempted to extort money from her. Investigation continues.

Police Activity Report for January 24 - 31, 2014
01/26/2014 at 6:35 pm, Pfc. Roberson responded to the 8300 block of Cunningham Drive for a report of an unresponsive 71 y/o, w/m. The 71 y/o male was pronounced and investigation revealed that he was complaining about not feeling well to his son a couple of days prior.

01/26/2014 at 9:10 pm, Sgt. Moroney responded to the 6200 block of Ruatan Street for a tampering with auto complaint. Investigation later revealed that the victim's Home Depot card was used in Ft. Meade, MD on 01/28/2014. Investigation continues.

01/26/2014 at 9:15 am, Pfc. Ignowski responded to the 8800 block of Edmonston Road for a report of a theft from a 2008 Hyundai. Victim stated that he left his car unlocked and someone removed coins from the ashtray.

01/30/2014 at 8:15 am, Det. Unger impounded a 1996 Honda from the location of the 6100 block of Seminole Street. The vehicle was left abandoned without proper tags.

01/17/2014 at 3:00 pm, Pfc. Roberson responded to the 8800 block of Edmonston Road and recovered Virginia tags that was displaying on a vehicle not intended for the said tags.

01/18/2014 at 12:14 pm, Pfc. Ignowski responded to the 7600 block of Charleston Avenue for a report of a hit and run.

01/19/2014 at 9:20 am, Pfc. Ignowski identified a vehicle that was wanted in a hit and run driven by a 15 y/o male juvenile resident of Hyattsville, MD. The vehicle was reported stolen and found in the 8500 block of Paxton Court. The juvenile was arrested.

01/20/2014 at 2:50 am, Sgt. Moroney responded to the 7-11 on Greenbelt Road for a report of theft of cigarettes.

Police Activity Report for January 10 - 17, 2014
01/11/2014 at 10:37 AM, Pfc. Ignowski responded to the X-Tra Fuel gas station at 5919 Greenbelt Road for a theft report. Employee of the gas station claims that someone removed a 10' gas hose, a fire extinguisher and an advertisement sign.

01/11/2014 at 9:30 PM, Pfc. Roberson responded to the 5800 block of Quebec Street for a report of a damaged 2001 Toyota. The driver's left front fender and side mirror received scratches from an unknown source.

01/12/2014 at 7:16 PM, Pfc. Roberson responded to the 8400 block of 57th., Avenue for a report of a car jacking. Investigation revealed that while a 38 y/o, Latino female was outside with her 2009 Toyota truck running, she was approached by a Latino male, 5'10", long hair wearing a black mask and a black jacket. The suspect pushes her down and drove away in her vehicle. A very short time later, the stolen vehicle was recovered in the 5600 block of Ruatan Street. It was later discovered by the victim that a large amount of cash was taken from the vehicle.

01/13/2013 at 11:45 AM, Pfc. Ignowski responded to the 6200 block of Ruatan Street for a report of a telephone harassment.

01/16/2013 at 11:30 AM, Pfc. Krouse responded to the Blue-Bird driving school for a report of theft. Victim, a student claims that his cellphone was stolen from his jacket.

Police Activity Report for January 3 - 10, 2014
01/09/2014 at 9:36 AM, Pfc. Krouse, Det. Unger and Chief Antolik responded to the 5600 block of Osage Street for a report of a burglary in progress. Investigation revealed that an unknown person(s) attempted to gain entry through the basement window of the house while the owner was in the shower. At which time BHPD officers canvass the neighborhood and obtained a description of the vehicle that fled the scene prior to the arrival of officers. After a look out of the vehicle was broadcast, it was seen in the area of Berwyn in College Park towards Baltimore Avenue. PG County officers along with the University of MD police attempted to stop the vehicle and gave chase. The police chase became too dangerous when the suspect started driving on the wrong side of the road and the chase was terminated. Further observation revealed that there were three black male suspects inside the vehicle. They fled in a black Honda pilot displaying a stolen DC tag of 'EC7194'.
