Speed Cameras

In accordance with Maryland law, Berwyn Heights Police uses speed cameras to enforce a 20 mph speed limit between 7 am to 6 pm in the Berwyn Heights Elementary school zone, and a 40 mph speed limit for Greenbelt Middle School when lights are flashing (Berwyn Heights’ side of Greenbelt Road only).

Also in accordance with the Institute of Higher Education (IHE) Zone, the 5600 block of Greenbelt Road has 24-hour enforcement of the 40MPH speed limit on both sides of the road.
